Kwara Police Command Says Non Of Its Operational Vehicles Collided With Keke- Napep

 The Kwara State Police Command has debunked rumour making round that one of its operational vehicles was involved in an accident with a Tricycle ‘ Keke Napep’ along GSS roundabout, Ilorin.

A statement by Sp Okasanmi Ajayi,

Kwara State Police Command, partly reads ” It becomes necessary to correct some erroneous information making the rounds on the health condition of the victims, none of the victims died, and the vehicle involved in the accident belongs to Hillcrest Agro industrial Company, Offa, and not to the police or government.

“The Hilux van was driven by one Samuel Adeola of Hill Crest company Ajase Ipo road Offa, and three tricycles operated by one Hafeez Nurudeen of behind Palace Amoyo, Yusuf Kadiri of Agric junction Oloje and one Hussen Seriki of Gambari area Ilorin and two persengers, namely Abubakar Aliyu of Irewolede area and one Latifat Kamarudeen of Ganiki area both of Ilorin.”

According to Okasanmi, the accident occurred when the driver of the Hilux Van and the tricycles coming from the same direction lost control and collided with the tricycles which resulted in a serious crash leading to injuries on Yusuf Kadiri, Hussein Seriki and Latifat Kamarudeen.

The victims already taken to UITH Okeoyi, Ilorin for medical attention and are positively responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Kwara State, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega psc has advised road users to be conscious of safety while on the highways and must make use of traffic codes and road signs at all times, noting that live has no duplicate.
