KWARA SPEAKER MOURNS THE DEATH OF OLUPO OF AJASE-IPO

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has described the death of Olupo Ajase-Ipo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Atanda Oladotun Sanni, Ilufemiloye Woleola II as a great loss.

Rt Honourable Danladi-Salihu in a condolence message noted that the the first class monarch and Chairman of the Igbomina Traditional Council was a great king who dedicated his life to the service of his people without discrimination and contributed immensely to the peace and development of Ajase-Ipo and Kwara State in general.

“I am saddened to receive the news of the death of His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Atanda Oladotun Sanni Ilufemiloye, indeed it is a colossal loss for us. The late first class monarch would be remembered as a peace-loving king that served his people diligently”.

“My condolences go to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the State’s Traditional Council of Chiefs and Obas, Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, the family of the deceased and the entire people of Ajase-Ipo”

The Speaker enjoined the family of the late monarch and entire people of Ajase-Ipo to be comforted by the fact that Oba Sikiru lived a life worthy of emulation by all in services to God and Humanity.

Late Oba Woleola II ascended the throne of his forefathers as the 15th Olupo of Ajase-Ipo in 2009 and died after 12 years of peaceful reign.
