Kwara: Police Commissioner Orders Investigation Into Share-Kange Crisis

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Muhammed Bagega has ordered full scale investigation into the Share/Kang­e/Sagbe conflict.

A statement by the spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi says men from the Squadron Fifteen Mobile Force along with other sister security agencies have restored calm at the warring communities.

The statement also confirmed the death of one Azeez Shuaib while another Jamiu Oyo sustained gunshot injuries and has been taken to the hospital.

Trouble was said to have started when family of onireke compound Share went to clear their farmland and were attacked by youths of Kangre and Sagbe communities, leading to destruction of properties.

While giving full assurance that the Police will get to the roots of the matter and bring culprits to book, Mr Bagega advised the public to make use of lawful means in settling rifts rather than taking laws into their hands.
