The Kwara State Government has reached a truce with the state Labour Unions over the on going strike.
The Labour Leaders at a meeting with the State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole agreed to suspend the the four day old strike in the interim.
The State NLC Chairman, Comrade Aliyu Issa Ore told Journalists at the end of the meeting that the Unions resolved to call off the action to pave way towards signing the agreement on the new minimum wage.
The HOS in her comment, commended the labour leaders for their understanding and cooperation during the talk.
She reiterated the commitment and determination of the Governor at paying the new minimum wage.
Mrs Oluwole assured the government would reach an acceptable agreement with the Labour soon.
