Federal Government wants anyone with fact – based information, memoranda and testimony on the Federal Polytechnic Offa, FEDPOFFA, to make it available in an effort to improve the institution.
President Muhammadu Buhari who was a visitor to the Polytechnic made the call today in Offa through the Chairman Presidential Visitation Panel to FEDPOFFA , Prof. Duro Oni of the University of Lagos.
Prof. Duro Oni who emphasized that the memoranda would be treated in confidential, said that every Five Years the visitation was done to see how the Polytechnic is doing and interact with Management, Staff and Students of the School.
The 2021 Panel Chairman commended Offa community for donating free parcel of land to the Federal Polytechnic, which he said was a rare gesture in the educational sector.
Responding, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Lateef Olatunji who said the last time the Polytechnic had a visitation panel was in 2012 pledged to give the panel maximum support.
Dr. Olatunji also want the discrimination between B.sc and HND certificate to be addressed, as he maintained that Nigeria Polytechnics were not enjoying the same privilege with the Universities.
Other members of the visitation panel include Mr. Ogunkunle Adesoji Sunday- Secretary, Prof. Rotgak illiya Gofwen,
Mrs. Hadiza Turkur,
Sekonde Davies,
Arc. Sani Savlawa, and
Hon. Ethelbert Onuha .
