The candidate of the Ruling All Progressive Congress APC, Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared winner of the recently concluded election in Ondo state.
According to INEC, he won his reelection with 286,135 votes
Akeredolu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Ondo 2020 governorship election won 15 out of the 18 local government areas of the state.
He defeated his close rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Eyitayo Jegede who polled 193,348 and 15 other candidates including his deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi.
The PDP candidate, Jegede however won in three local government areas: Akure South, Akure North and Ifedore.
Agboola Ajayi, the candidate of Zenith Labour Party had 66,963 votes without winning any local government area.
