Senator Rochas Okorocha has been arrested after he reopened the Royal Palm Estate sealed by the State Governor, Hope Uzodimma
Okorocha who was accompanied by his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, broke the keys to recover the estate belonging to his wife, Nkechi.
Imo State Government on Friday had recovered the Royal Palm Estate along Akachi road.
Shortly after, two aides of Governor Hope Uzodinma identified as Chinasa Nwaneri and Eric Uwakwe arrived at the place with policemen who arrested the senator after overpowering his men on the ground.
Also arrested were Ijeoma Igboanusi, deputy chief of staff when Okorocha was governor of Imo State and Lasbrey Okafor-Anyanwu who was a Commissioner in Okorocha’s government.
Two persons were said to have been killed while many others sustained injuries in the incident.
The Senator and those arrested along with him are currently being detained at the State’s Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Owerri.
