As Ramadan fast begins across the globe, the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has felicitated with the Muslim faithful calling on them to be steadfast and support the government with prayers.
Rt Hon Danladi-Salihu in his felicitation message to the Muslims reminded them to use the opportunity of the blessed month for their spiritual upliftment and rejuvenation.
He also implored them to emulate Prophet Muhammed and reflect on his many teachings of the sacred month such as tolerance, sacrifice, kindness, self-discipline, self-control, empathy among others and practicalize same in their day to day activities.
“As the sacred month of Ramadan is here again, I wish to humbly enjoin our Muslim brothers and sisters to remain steadfast in their acts of worship and double up their good deeds and kindness to others for them to earn bountiful rewards from Allah”.
“It is also important for our fasting brothers and sisters to pray for continuous peace, progress and unity in Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole as well as for those in the position of authority for Allah’s divine wisdom and guidance to pilot the affairs of the state”
Engineer Danladi-Salihu wishes Muslims an acceptable and stress-free fast.
